Health Benefits of Ginger

Ginger-It is a natural herb. It is used as a spice all over the world but it is also a remedy for many infections. Ginger has anti-nausea, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antibacterial, anti-viral and antitussive (cough suppressant) properties. Ginger is also a good source of many vitamins like vitamin A, C, B-complex.

How to use ginger as a herb

How to use ginger in cold

-Chop a 3-inch piece of fresh ginger.

-Add 2 tablespoons of honey, ½ cup of lemon juice and 2 cups of boiling water.

-Stir well and then cover it for about 10 minutes.

-Strain the solution and drink.

We can also add cinnamon to this drink. Cinnamon acts as an antiseptic that helps to kill the cold virus. It also soothes a sore throat and promotes sweating to clear the cold.

Ginger cures dandruff

Ginger antiseptic properties and it is an excellent remedy for dandruff.

-Massage ginger oil or a mixture of freshly grated ginger and olive oil or sesame oil on to your scalp and leave it as such for 30 minutes. Do this twice in a week and you will be dandruff free.

Ginger helps to purify blood

Extract ginger juice, store in the refrigerator for 5-6 days. Mix 2 tablespoons of ginger juice and 2 tablespoons of honey. Drink every morning on empty stomach.

Garlic-We mostly use garlic in dishes to make it spicy and to add flavor to the dish but it also has medicinal properties. Like ginger, it also consists of vitamins like B1, B6 and vitamin C.

Helpful in Arthritis

-Take a cup of warm water to this add 1tablespoon of olive oil and 1tablespoon grated garlic. Stir the mixture well and consume twice in a day.

Helpful in a cough and cold

-Boil 3-4 cloves of garlic in milk and drink the milk in the night before going to bed will help you to get rid of cold and cough. We can also add grated ginger

Effective in High Blood Pressure

-If we eat 3-4 cloves of garlic in the morning on empty stomach, it’s very effective in controlling high blood pressure and cholesterol which causes the heart attack.

Helpful in weight loss

-Make a paste of garlic cloves.

-Take one cup of water.

-Add juice of 1lemon to it.

-Add 1 teaspoon of garlic paste to a cup having water and lemon juice. Stir well and drink on empty stomach in the morning.
