Himachal Pradesh is a state of northern India. It is literally snow land. The meaning of Himachal is Him means snow and Achal mountain. Himachal Pradesh is well known for its natural beauty, hill stations, and temples. There are many valleys and most of the population is in the rural area. The state has good roads even in hill area and all villages are connected with roads. It is in western Himalaya and a mountainous state. Shimla, Himachal Pradesh
Shimla is the capital of Himachal. It is also known as hill queen city of Himachal. You can visit this place in any season summer, monsoon, autumn, or winter. It’s always a beautiful experience to come here. Beauty and charm of the city are always on top. It is an ideal place to spend the vacation in Shimla. Christ Church is also there. It is one of the oldest Churches of northern India. You can visit Ridge Medan.
The Ridge is large open space where you can spend quality time. It is also known as the heart of Shimla. It is along with the mall road. Lots of hustle and bustle is here. It also leads to the Lakkar Bazaar where you can find beautiful wooden crafts material. Another place is Jakhu temple is here in Shimla. It is Lord Hanuman’s temple. It is almost 3 km away from the ridge. From Jakhu temple you can see the beautiful view of Shivalik Mountains. You can also visit Himachal state museum. It is located on mall road. you will find an excellent collection of coins, photographs, and handicraft.
Manali, Himachal Pradesh
Manali is mountainous place in Himachal. It is located near Kullu Valley. It famous for is the environmental beauty. The climate of this city makes it more beautiful. Temperature range is always here from 4 °C to 26 °C.
Hidimba Devi temple is famous here in Manali. It is an ancient cave temple in Manali of Bhim’s (Character in Mahabharata) wife. It is surrounded by cedar forest at the foot of Himalaya. During Exile Mahabharata’s Pandavas stay here and Bhim marries with Hidimba.
You can visit Salong Valley. It is a side valley on the top of Kullu. It is well known for summer and winter sports. Paragliding, Parachuting and horse riding are famous in this valley.
The great Himalayan national park is also in Manali. Lots of flora and more than 375 fauna species are here. This park is also added in UNESCO list of world heritage in June 2014.
Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh
Dharamshala is second winter capital of Himachal. If you love trekking then you must visit Dharamshala. People who like rock climbing just like to visit here. It is the best place to spend the vacation with family.
